Claiming to be from BT Technical department, and they can fix my internet from being used by unauthorised persons, if I allow them access to my pc
Caller claimed to be from BT and they were going to cut off my internet in 2 hours due to someone hacking my router.
I put the phone down (I am not with BT)
Caller stated he was from BT and contacting me because of problems with our Broad Band and that 5 other people were using it. Wanted me to turn on my laptop so he could fix the problem. I queried how could he prove to me he was a BT employee. He again said if I turned on my laptop he would give me a code to prove he was BT employee. When I said my laptop wasn't turned on he hung up. I take it, it was a scam call. The name was Harry.
