I was scammed from this id*ot doing same stuff to me saying that he’s the icac
This nimber is being used for the purpose of blackmailing men who use online dating/ meet up sights. The angle that is used unfolds as so. The alleged perpetrators are pretending to be a young adult misrepresenting their age. They will ask for your number, and if it is given, these persons will text you and send nude pics to your phone. The following day, you will recieve another text from this supposed minor's parent, telling you that you need to call them or they will turn you in to the ICAC. If you do not respond, the following day, you will get a call fron yet another number, and the person you speak with is an African American male, voice sounds to be as if he is between 35 and 50 yrs old, who claims to be Lt. Kenneth Bay, of the ICAC task force. He will then proceed to recap the text the alleged parents of this minor sent to you, and then threaten you with 1 to 15 years Federal Time for having s*xual communications w a minor via the internet. After the threat, then 'Lt. Kenneth Bay' will give you two options- take it to court, or talk to the parents to settle the matter w a Civil Litigation (which basically means they want money from you to not pursue criminal charges against you). If you agree to this, you will then get yet another call from another number from 'Lt. Bay'. He will keep you on hold, have three other African Americans (a man, a woman, and a young man), get on ahd have a three way conversation with you, attempting to make you feel as if you're some sort of sick pedophile because thier 'kid' contacted you and sent you nude pics.
If you call any of these numbers back, they go to voicemail.... GOOGLE voicemail. Please don't fall for this. The area codes of the numbers these alleged scammers are currently using as of 03/31/2025 are 857 (alleged minor and parents) 844 and 843 (Lt. Bay).
