A foreign person called to say he was from Nissan and wanted to verify make and model of my vehicle. I fortunately was asking for what and I said you should have that information already. I read these comments while on the call with the caller and told him that I will not answer any questions and put him on reject. They contacted my husband to verify information and he also hung up.
They keep leaving messages on my work phone number. They claim to be from Nissan, however I have never owned or leased a Nissan. Never had any interest. There is no connection to me at all. But they suddenly started calling my office phone and have not stopped. I think it is a scam.
Nissan finance welcome call for new vehicles (I purchased a new nissan). person wanted to verify information they had and make me aware of my account number. This is a legitimate number and purpose for calling. All information was validated from their records, I was never asked for sensitive information.

I work for Nissan USA, my customer called me stating that someone from this number called him last night asking for his social security # which thankfully he said no, then the person asked for the VIN for his vehicle... which thankfully again he said no!
